Designing and creating functional custom pieces is our specialty. From standard segmented wooden beer mugs (left) to custom pirate tankards (right), we have something for everyone. Not only are our pieces unique in appearance, they are also designed to endure the hazzards of daily use year round! Whether it's an ice-cold beer or a steaming hot cup of coffee, your MacGowan's Tankard can handle it all - if it's drinkable, it won't hurt your tankard!
When designing our first tankards and mugs James, our master craftsman, had a multitude of options from which to choose for coating the interior. After careful consideration and months of testing he opted for an FDA approved polymer that can withstand temperatures up to 400F and is impervious to most chemicals! This makes our products an excellent choice for those who drink hot coffee or tea, as well as those who enjoy the occasional cold one!
Each item made in our studio is a unique handcrafted work of art mixed with old-world charm and modern technology. No two items are exactly alike - this is the nature of finely crafted hand-turned wooden products. These functional works of art are designed and crafted to endure the elements - inside or outside, in all types of weather - they look good in the office too! With proper care your item will last a lifetime and become an heirloom to pass on to your children!
All MacGowan's products come with a limited LIFETIME warranty against defects in craftsmanship and materials!* The warranty is explained in greater detail on the Product Care page.
